Gig of the Week – Dirk Digglers Blues Revue
We recently teamed up with the guys at Move Radio to bring you a weekly round up of events around the area. As part of this, we’ll be choosing an event each week to feature on the show. Our first Gig of the Week is Dirk Digglers Blues Revue, a Staffordshire based blues rock band, drawing influence from American and British artists such as ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Peter Green and Dr Feelgood. They will be performing at the Gardeners Retreat in Stoke on Saturday night. They’re a well established local band with over a decade of gigging experience, and are currently working on their second studio album. The Gardeners Retreat is a great venue for such a well established act, with ample parking and a large, well laid out function room. It will almost certainly be standing room only by the time the band come on, so be sure to get there early if you want a table. This event is £2 on the door.
